1. συνάπτω, συνενώνω κατά φυσικό τρόπο («ἡ μὲν θερμότης καὶ ψυχρότης ὁρίζουσαι καὶ συμφύουσαι καὶ μεταβάλλουσαι τὰ ὁμογενῆ», Αριστοτ.)
2. (σχετικά με πληγή) επουλώνω
3. (σχετικά με τους οφθαλμούς) κλείνω («διὰ τί οἱ αἰδούμενοι τοὺς ὀφθαλμοὺς συμπεφύκασι;», Αλέξ. Αφρ.)
4. μέσ. α) συναυξάνομαι
β) συνενώνομαι, συγκολλώμαι, συνάπτομαι
